International Jazz Festival of Malaga 8 – 13 November
It is the 31st edition of the Jazz Festival in Malaga. This year there are performances by Steve Coleman, Ron Carter, Eliane Elias and Dave Holland.
The main stage of the Jazz Festival is at the Cervantes Theater. In addition, there are several live venues where you can enjoy Jazz. Such as Plaza de las Flores (between Calle Larios and Calle Nueva), Plaza del Obispo and Plaza de la Merced. Also on the east side of Malaga in Baños del Carmen and the hotel La Chancla are planned performances (on a small scale).

Christmas lights in Malaga from Friday, November 24

CAC museum Málaga – Contemporary art
Leiro – until January 7, 2018
The Leiro exhibition contains more than 40 works of art, including sculptures and drawings. Made by the internationally famous artist Franscisco Leiro de Galicia. His (wooden) images show vulnerability and human frailty. Reality is fiction, a human construction where Leiro plays with the state between literal and figurative language.
Ingacio Tovar – Singing to you in a low voice – until January 21, 2018
An exhibition that consists of about fifteen paintings and drawings by Ignacio Tovar. This Sevillian abstract painter preserves his inspiration from flamenco poetry. His works have names of letters, legendary singers and dancers.
Female artists – subrealism – until January 28, 2018
Lover of surrealist art? You have to visit the Picasso Museum. This temporary exhibition is composed of works by several female artists. Juan Gris, María Blanchard and Cubism – until February 25, 2018
